National Arab American Heritage Month
Americans observe National Arab Heritage Month in April, and it is an opportunity to enhance understanding of the nuanced and diverse aspects of Arab American heritage. The United States is home to over 3.5 million Arab Americans. During the month, individuals and organizations celebrate the rich history, cultural influences and contributions of Arab Americans. The Arab World includes 22 countries stretching from North Africa in the west to the Arabian Gulf in the east. Arabs are ethnically, religiously and politically diverse but descend from a common linguistic and cultural heritage. |
