NBCC Call for Proposals: Top Five Reasons to Speak at NBCC

This June, the USBC is hosting our first-ever online conference! The three-day event will include engaging presentations and opportunities for online engagement with breastfeeding-focused representatives throughout the country. We are currently seeking proposals for concurrent session presentations under three learning arcs:

  • Resilience: Power of Community
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response
  • Advocacy in Practice

The deadline to submit proposals for the 2021 National Breastfeeding Conference and Convening (NBCC) is February 7, at 11:59 p.m. PT

Need more convincing? Read on for five reasons why we think you should submit a conference proposal for the NBCC today!

  1. Your learning deepens when you share what you know. Often, when you are called to share what you know, your awareness and understanding of it deepens.
  2. You are a leader! Your voice, passion, and work are absolutely vital to the First Food field. Many will benefit from your experience, knowledge, and brilliance!

  3. Presenting hones your communication skills. Giving a presentation challenges you to think about how to connect the audience's knowledge and insights with your own. Creating interactive learning experiences at the NBCC will help you refine and master this vital skill set.

  4. Fall in love with your work all over again. You are part of something that has the potential to transform the lives of people everywhere. Talking about, teaching about, and sharing about your work is a great way to reconnect with why you do what you do.

  5. You rock! No further explanation needed.

To ensure you have everything you need to create and deliver a successful educational session at NBCC 2021, the USBC team has created several resources to help guide you through the process:
