Text4baby Webcast, from HRSA/MCHB

Join the Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau for a webcast on Text4baby: What's New to Support Maternal and Child Health, on Thursday, September 26 from 2-3:30 p.m. ET. This presentation will provide an updated overview of the Text4baby initiative to include the Federal perspective, introduction of new and existing modules, and how to integrate Text4baby within a community-based program, such as Healthy Start.  A special focus will be given to modules focused on the Hispanic population and fathers.

Fourth Edition Self-Study Module, from Wellstart International

Wellstart International has published the Fourth Edition of the Lactation Management Self-Study Modules, Level 1. This basic tool is designed for medical and nursing students and anyone who has not been exposed to this information previously. It is accepted by Baby-Friendly USA to meet the requirement of three hours of training for physicians as well as partially meeting the requirement of 20 hours of training for nurses.

Foundation Directory Online Free, from the Foundation Center

The Foundation Center has announced that its premier funder database, Foundation Directory Online, now includes a free search tool providing public access to essential information about nearly 90,000 foundations and over 250,000 IRS Forms 990-PF. Profiles include the funder's address and contact information, fields of interest, program areas, and financial data, including assets and total giving. Breastfeeding grantseekers are encouraged to take advantage of this free database!
